LeveragePoint Innovations, Inc. (“LeveragePoint,” the “Company,” “we,” or “our”) is committed to being transparent about how we develop and deploy artificial intelligence (“AI”), Generative AI tools, and AI-powered software features within our LeveragePoint for Value Management online subscription software tool (the “Tool”) and on our corporate websites (leveragepoint.com, leveragepoint.ai) (“Websites”).
This policy describes how AI is used within the Tool and our Websites and how customer data is handled in connection with those AI features. This policy primarily addresses customers choosing to use AI models provided by LeveragePoint in the Tool and AI models provided through the Websites (collectively, “Platform-Provided Models”).
By using any AI-powered features in our Tool or Websites, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, you should not use those features.
Questions about this policy may be directed to privacy@leveragepoint.com or your customer success manager.
What AI features does LeveragePoint offer?
Within the Tool, LeveragePoint offers AI-powered features, primarily Val™, our AI agent for value execution, and Sal™, our sales user support tool for value. Val™ is purpose-built to help revenue teams define, quantify, model, and communicate measurable customer economic value. These features are collectively referred to as “LeveragePoint AI Features” in this policy.
In our Tool: Val™ uses generative AI to assist users in overcoming the blank page, turning inputs into structured economic analyses and presentation-ready outputs. Sal™ supports presenters of value outputs, utilizing various parts of Value Propositions as context to provide further explanations of the mathematical inputs and formulas, and to provide in-Tool support for suggesting changes to the analyses and messages.
In our Websites: We also offer Val™ which enables visitors to conduct a live interaction and receive a preliminary value analysis.
What Large Language Models are used/available within the LeveragePoint Tool and Websites?
By default, LeveragePoint AI Features currently use the models available through the OpenAI API Platform, accessed under OpenAI’s enterprise terms https://openai.com/enterprise-privacy/. We or our customers may choose other AI providers such as Anthropic Claude, or other AI providers in the future.
LeveragePoint selects AI providers that meet our security and privacy standards, including SOC2 Type 2 reports. Our current providers operate under data processing agreements that prohibit the use of our customers’ data to train their AI models.
LeveragePoint customers may also integrate their own internal LLMs with the LeveragePoint Tool. See ‘Can LeveragePoint customers choose to integrate their own AI providers?’ below.
Does LeveragePoint or any LLMs use my data to train AI models?
No. Data submitted through LeveragePoint- provided AI via the Tool or Websites is never used to train GenAI or machine learning models — whether our own or those of our third-party AI providers. This commitment applies to Val™, Sal™, and to any other LeveragePoint AI Features. Your data remains strictly yours. Your interactions with LeveragePoint AI Features are not used to train Platform-Provided Models.
What data do LeveragePoint AI Features process?
When you use LeveragePoint AI Features, data you input – such as product descriptions, market context, and economic assumptions – is transmitted to our AI providers for processing and returned to you as a structured output. This data is processed under our agreement with the provider and is not retained by the provider for model training purposes.
Usage data and model outputs related to your interactions with LeveragePoint AI Features may be collected and used to improve the functionality and performance of LeveragePoint AI Features, consistent with our Privacy Policy at https://www.leveragepoint.com/about-us/security/privacy-policy/.
Am I responsible for content I submit to LeveragePoint AI Features?
Yes. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any content you submit as input to LeveragePoint AI Features (“AI Input”), and for evaluating any content generated by those features (“AI Output”) before relying on or sharing it.
AI Output is generated automatically and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific circumstances. LeveragePoint does not guarantee that AI Output is error-free or fit for any particular purpose. You should apply your own judgment when using AI Output, particularly before sharing it with customers or incorporating it into business decisions.
What are customers prohibited from doing?
You may not use LeveragePoint AI Features in any manner that is malicious, unlawful or harmful. Customers agree not to attempt to bypass safety filters or reverse-engineer any software components or GenAI prompts.
Does LeveragePoint AI make decisions about me?
No. LeveragePoint AI Features are designed to assist users in building value analyses and economic models and presenting the resulting outputs. They do not make automated decisions about individuals or produce outputs that carry legal or similarly significant effects for any person.
How does LeveragePoint keep AI Features secure?
LeveragePoint is SOC 2 Type 2 certified, and our LeveragePoint AI Features are developed and operated within the same security framework that governs the rest of the Tool. LeveragePoint AI Features uses Platform-Provided Models that are also SOC2 Type 2 certified, like OpenAI API Platform or Anthropic Claude.
These LLMs are contractually bound by strict data privacy agreements. These Platform-Provided Models do not retain or use data sent via our API integration to train their public models, and your data is automatically deleted from their endpoints after their standard compliance retention window.
Within the Tool, access to LeveragePoint AI Features is restricted to authorized users within your organization, consistent with the access controls that apply to the Tool generally.
For more information, please visit our Security page at www.leveragepoint.com/about-us/security/.
Who has Intellectual Property Rights?
LeveragePoint assigns all rights, titles, and interests in the outputs generated by the LeveragePoint AI Features directly to the Customer, subject to applicable laws.
Does LeveragePoint AI comply with data privacy laws?
Yes. Platform-Provided Models operate in compliance with our existing data privacy obligations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable state privacy acts, and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The data practices described in our Privacy Policy apply equally to data processed through LeveragePoint AI Features.
Can LeveragePoint customers choose to integrate their own AI providers?
With respect to the Tool, customers may choose to integrate their own AI providers and infrastructure (“Customer-Managed Models”), in which case customers are responsible for approving AI models, providers, and use of information within their AI environment, including choosing whether to have their data used to train AI.
LeveragePoint customers may choose to integrate LeveragePoint AI Features with their own AI architecture only on the internally approved models available to their LeveragePoint users.
Will this policy change?
The AI landscape is evolving rapidly, and we expect our AI features and the providers who power them to change over time. We will update this policy to reflect material changes in how we develop, deploy, or govern AI features. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects when it was most recently revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
